Hey I'm Sam, nice to meet you
I have spend the last 10 years in the online space, starting as a Virtual Assistant, and now I have 2 businesses which I love! I am an Online Business Manager specialising in Course Build and Launches, and ofcourse, the founder of MUM-VA Academy.
I am so excited that you are, and want to share with you my story, so that you can see how possible this is for you too.
Rewind about 10 years ago I was still in my corporate job, had 3 small children, and to be honest life was busy.
Now don't get me wrong I LOVED my job, but with a family I just knew that something had to be sacrificed at some point because it just wasn't working. Early mornings to the office, arriving home late at night, travelling 2 weeks out of every month....fact is I was starting to feel like an absent mother at home. I was also mentally and physically exhausted!
So, I thought to myself, is there another way? A way that I could still work and be financially independent, but also have a more balanced life? I was lookinh for flexibility, freedom and financial idependence....
I heard the term Virtual Assistant while browsing around online one day, and it absolutely peaked my curiosity. After a litte bit of research, I decided this was definately the path for me!
But then, wait. I knew NOTHING about the online space, who I would be working with, what I would be doing, and could I even do it? I was savvy on a computer but certainly not on social media and websites....and funnels...and mailing lists...I mean what even is all this stuff!
I will be honest with you, I learned the hard way. I had no direction, no support and only google as my resource. It was probably the longest road from A to B that any VA has taken ever! But, it taught me so much. After 4 months of alot of trial and error, I was fully booked. I was earning so much more than I ever did in corporate, but I was working 14 hour days. Suddenly, I realised this is not what I signed up for - financially independent but chained to my home office.
I decided it was time for me to find help, I found a coach, invested in learning and growing my business, and found my way. I got to a point where I was only working 4-5 hours a day, earning more than my corporate job, and I had my life back, my time back.
Fast forward 10 years, here I am, living on a beautiful Island in the Indian Ocean, running a business that I love. With the right knowledge, strategy, tools and support, you too can leverage the skills you have and build a business that gives you your life back. The next step is critical in your VA journey, and that is looking at what you love, what skills you have and how we can translate that into the online space. Niching down to work with a particular type of entrepreneur in a particular space in the online world makes it easier for you to find your perfect clients. In this module, I help you to find that sweet spot, and start to research so you are perfectly prepared for your next step.
MODULE 3: ALL ABOUT THE MONEY
In this module I teach you all about what you rates ahould be, and how to increase them as you grow, what client's pay for which services, pricing models, and how to get paid. As a Virtual Assistant, time is precious so it is absolutely essential that you have the systems, contracts and billing gateways in place so that when it is time to on board your first client, it is a seamless and easy process.
MODULE 4: GETTING SETUP ONLINE
In this module, I teach you everything you need to get setup online from how to decide which social platforms you are setting yourself up on, creating a professional profile that wows your future clients and what systems and softwares you need to master that you can use for your business as well as your clients.
